Woo-hoo! After 25 years, Harry Shearer has finally won an Emmy for his voice work on “The Simpsons.” With the win, everyone in the primary voice cast for the show has now received the award.

Shearer is currently performing in a play in London and was actually asleep when the news was announced. After learning about the award, the actor said, “I want to thank the Academy, for this incredible honor, and for the impeccable timing,” poking fun at the Emmys for finally giving him a win while he’s not even in the country, according to Deadline.

The actor won the award for his performance in “Four Regrettings and a Funeral.” Shearer voices a number of characters in the episode, including Kent Brockman, Mr. Burns, Younger Burns and Smithers.

Adding to the accomplishment, this is also the first win in the Best Character Voice-Over category since it was split from being included with narration.
