Vertigo Releasing Comics Where the Cover is Page One

Can’t wait to open your comics to get right to the story? With this October’s DEFY covers from Vertigo, you won’t have to wait.

We are excited to exclusively announce that Vertigo, an imprint of DC Comics, will be releasing comics where the story starts on the cover. Seven of their ongoing comics will start on the cover — with word balloons and panels and the like — and will continue on page one (which is now story page two).

This definitely defies conventional practices, as intended. It also eliminates the idea of false advertising on the cover because now that imagery is actually a part of the story.
